-When you are participating in the fishing tournaments, don’t spend any of your cash to “redo” any fish other than the one that you’re supposed to catch for the tournament. Doing so will be a complete waste of cash.
-Better yet, don’t spend cash at all on redoes unless you’re running out of your good fishing line/lures. To avoid this, make sure that you have your good lures when you start the tournament.
-Pay attention to the current events in the game. Most of the events will earn you more gold if you do what the game tells you to (I.E. catch a certain kind of fish and then sell it). Some of them can even earn you cash, but this depends from event to event.
-Having trouble completing some of the quests on one stage? Go to a different stage and do quests there, because each of the stages has a different set of quests.
-Daily quests, however, are the same from stage to stage, so go to whichever stage makes it the easiest to complete the daily quests.
-To gain experience points quickly, go to the highest stage that you have unlocked, use your basic lures but an advanced fishing line (if possible) and just catch fish over and over. Experience points per fish are far higher in the later stages than in the earlier ones.
-This is a good way to earn fast coins, as well.
-There is one advanced technique in this game to catch the extremely tough fish. Get your tension bar to the “P” and start rapidly tapping the reel button over and over as fast as you can in order to fill up the special move bar rapidly. You have to hit the button at just the right speed because if you hit it too fast, you will break the line and let the fish get away. But if you time it right, this makes it much easier to catch tough fish.
-Consequently, sometimes you’ll get a weird dummy prize, such as a sea urchin or a beer bottle. These ones are extremely easy to catch, but oddly enough, they will also earn you coins and experience points that are at a comparable level to anything else you might catch in that same stage.
