Welcome to part 2 of the Airport City and Airport City HD (iPhone, iPad and Android) strategy guide. Click here to continue on to part 1 of the guide.
It can be real easy to run out of money in the game, so prepare for those times when you do. After you are full on passengers, and you can’t collect any more of them, sell a bunch of your unnecessary houses (since unfortunately the game doesn’t let you put anything in storage), buy a bunch of Eateries and Grocery Stores and put them in your city, and start collecting from them over and over again until you have enough coins to do whatever it is you need to do and then some. Once you have plenty of coins, start selling your eateries and grocery stores and either buy houses again, or use the space for whatever else you want to do.
If one of your planes breaks down but you don’t have the parts necessary to fix it, and you don’t have the cash to buy the parts, or the patience to try to find the parts by sending flights out, sell the broken plane and then buy an identical plane and put it in the hanger that you had it in.
Make sure you have a huge amount of money built up before you get to experience level 7, because you’re going to have to spend a lot of money to expand, to replace your level 1 runways with level 2 runways, and to buy new planes. Once you hit level 7 and unlock the level 2 runway, you won’t be able to land guest planes anymore, because they can only be landed on the highest-level runway that you have. Repeat the same process before you get to level 13, which is when you unlock the level 3 runways, and then before level 19 when you unlock level 4 runways.
