You’re going to need coins to unlock all of the upgraded tools, plus to unlock new partners. To rack up the coins, go to a stage that you’ve already beaten and beat it over and over again. You won’t lose bloodpacks when you beat a stage (only when you lose at a stage), and after you beat the stage, you’ll earn coins based on the points that you scored.

The animals that you have to kill are some of the most frustrating parts about the game. To kill the snakes, zap them and chainsaw them. To kill the fire bugs, zap them, let them dig down, then zap them again, let them dig down and zap again. To kill the frogs, zap them and then burn them until they die. To kill the fleas and ice ants, simply zap them with the car battery. To kill the giant frog near the end of the game, burn it with the lighter until it dies.

To kill the bats, scare them with the lighter and then zap them as they hit the side of the screen. To kill the final worm on the Hubris stage, attack its head with the chainsaw.

You need to double tap the clamps in order to get them to stick. Twist them clockwise in order to get them to close.

To beat a stage without using any syringes, make sure that you have the healing ointment power up (where you regain heart rate by using the ointment), and ideally, the power up that recovers heart rate when you heal cuts. Also, try to make sure that you have Mr. Giblets as your partner. If the person has poison, use the pizza cutter to cut into it, and then use the vacuum to suck it out, instead of using the red syringe to suck it out.

To get three stars on any stage, finish as fast as possible and make no errors or as few errors as possible. Sometimes your score doesn’t matter for stars. To earn the most coins though, go to any stage with fleas jumping around, let them jump around for about a minute making cut marks, then kill them. Heal the cut marks after that because each time you cauterize or apply ointment to a cut mark, it’s worth a score.

At the vampire stage, the bats will explode into little bats if you let them sit for too long, which can earn you a ton of points if you kill them quickly, but if you are not yet quick enough, then you’ll die easily.
