Barn Voyage – The Ultimate Tips, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Farming games aren’t anywhere near as popular as they used to be, but Barn Voyage is Fun+’s attempt at bringing the genre back, or at least firing a shot across the bow of games such as Hay Day and Farmville 2. In this game your goal is similar to what it is in others – that is, grow crops, craft new items and run a thriving, booming and profitable business from your farm. Read on for some tips and tricks for Barn Voyage!

Complete the quests in this game as quickly as you can, as a matter of first priority over farming (resource farming, not the actual farming that you do in this game). Quests are great to do if you don’t know what to do next, and will earn you rewards and usually help you unlock new crops and craft items.

Take advantage of the store, though, and whenever you gain an experience level, see what you can build that you’re missing. You will almost always be able to build a new farm plot after a level up; oftentimes, you’ll be able to buy another of a necessary animal, or even a brand new animal, making it far easier to fill order quickly and complete quests more quickly.

Upgrade your barn and your silo whenever you run out of room – your silo holds all of your crops while your barn holds all of your craft items. You will need building materials (such as screws, planks, hammers etc) for your upgrades. Fill orders and craft in order to earn them randomly. If you don’t have the materials yet, then focus on filling orders and making hay, or selling goods in the market stand, in order to clear up space.

Once you get the market stand, that’s when your business can really take off. Craft items are the most profitable items here – set the price high for these and people will be more likely to buy anyways due to the rarity. The rarer the item (or the longer it takes to get), the higher you can set the price.

Or, buy something that’s fairly common, such as a crop, but buy it at a high quantity for a low price. Then, sell the items in lower quantities at higher prices (or one at a time for higher prices). There are a nearly infinite amount of ways to increase your profit margins in this game.
