Baseball Superstars 2013 is a new game in the long anime-laden series by Gamevil Inc. There are two types of currency in this game, but unlike the 2012 version of the same game, G-Points, which used to be the premium currency, are now the primary currency in the game. Now, the premium currency in Baseball Superstars 2013 is Stars. Both of these currencies allow you to buy various upgrades, outfits and other goodies, but Stars buy you the best stuff in the game. The main way to get more G-Points is to play more games. To double your G-Point earnings, play games as both a batter and as a pitcher. G-Points are the same for both characters, so if you’re better at earning them in one version of the game, you can use it to pay for upgrades in the other area. Pitching is usually the one that it’s easier to earn G-Points in.
Your letter grade depends on how many G-Points you earn each time you play a game. You’ll be graded between A and F, and whatever grade you earn, the coach will give you bonus G-Points. Getting an A or a B will earn you sky high G-Points, while E and F won’t earn you many. Also, higher grades will earn you more experience, and when you gain an experience level, you earn more G-Points. You also earn bonus G-Points for accomplishing certain feats, such as doubles or homers for batters, or strikeouts and strikeout combos for pitchers.
Free G-Points are awarded when you go to an event (an area with an exclamation mark over it) and let the story play out, or when you get a quiz question right. They’re also awarded for completing various quests in the game, so complete quests quickly if you want to earn them rapidly.
You can earn more stars with team achievements. If your team places well in the division, goes to the playoffs, and makes it past the first round, you’ll earn more stars (and tons of G Points), and certain quests will also earn you stars (but not that many of them). The main way to earn more stars, unfortunately, is simply to buy more of them in the app store.
