BitLife continues to grow in size and in scope, and more and more additions to your life keep getting added to the game. The latest thing to get added is the ability to own pets. This ranges all the way from dogs, cats, and rabbits, to horses, and even the exotic like gorillas, zebras, and even unicorns! Read on for a guide on how to get all pets in BitLife!
Unlike most facets of the game, this is one of the modes that you’ll have more options in when you become a Bitizen, but even if you are just a free player, you’ll still have options as far as getting pets. Pet-store-wise, you have the animal shelter. This has a completely random selection of rescue pets, mostly the basic pets, and there is no guarantee that you’ll be getting a good pet when you go to the shelter.
The other option is to rescue an animal when a random chance comes up. This pop-up isn’t new, but now, you’ll get to keep the animal that you rescue. While this is just as random as going to the shelter, you won’t need to pay for any animal that you rescue, and you have a chance at finding something a bit more unique than just the dog or cat. You even have a chance at finding and rescuing a unicorn – it’s already been done and documented.
That’s all for the free options, but once you pay for the premium membership, your options increase. For the basic dog and cat options, you get access to the dog breeder and the cat breeder. You can pick from whatever breed you want, and almost all of the breeds are included in this game, although the selection might vary a bit depending on what country you live in.
You also have the pet store once you go premium, and the selections here are not as good, but they are less expensive. Dogs and cats from the pet store might typically be a little bit older than the ones that you get from the breeders, but some good young ones tend to appear often as well.
You can get horses, too, but first, you have to get a horse-related property (the exception is rescuing unicorns, which don’t require equestrian properties). Go to the real estate brokers and look for any property that has the word Equestrian in the name. Buy this, and then you’ll be able to add horses to your stable. Be warned, through, as equestrian properties tend to be hellaciously expensive, in the 5-15 million dollar range.
The exotic pet dealer costs big bucks, but they can also get you some of the crazier, more exotic, Mike Tyson-esque pets. You can go here to get tigers, lions, gorillas, giraffes, and more. The Exotic Pet Dealer only has one different kind of animal per year, so if you don’t like what’s in the store at the time, age a year and then go back, and repeat as necessary until you see what you want.
The way to find the most possible types of pets is simply to play the game and go through as many lives as you can. Check the exotic pet store every year, and every time you come across an animal encounter, try to rescue the animal. Much of it, of course, is luck, too, so create your own luck by playing through as many lives as possible in a short time.
