Blackmoor 2 is a new beat-em-up for the iOS and Android platforms that starts off easy, but gets Nintendo-hard pretty quickly. Your goal is to quest through the story mode, beating enemies and bosses, and to not only go through challenging dungeons created by other players, and create your own. You can earn coins, unlock new characters, and beat the toughest bosses imaginable. Read on for some tips and tricks for Blackmoor 2!
There isn’t a whole lot in the way of upgrades in this game, so the main method of success is good old fashioned strategy. Mainly, watch the patterns of the toughest enemies and bosses that you face. They all have patterns where they attack and when they pull back. Avoid their attacks, and then attack them when they pull back.
Make use of your full range of attacks and moves. You can not only swing at the enemy, but can also dash forward and through enemies ahead of you. In addition, you can use a double-jump to go higher than your normally would, which allows you to get to higher platforms than you normally would. Duck and attack for a low kick or hit, or you can do a jump attack by jumping first, then hitting the attack button.
The dungeon modes are generally a lot harder than the story modes are. Here, you’ll have a specific goal and a specific list of enemies to destroy before the time runs out, but the time will run out quickly if you don’t attack fast enough. If you aren’t careful not to get hit, though, you’ll die before the timer even runs out. You can watch an ad video in order to keep the run going, though.
You start with two characters, and there’s four more that you can unlock with coins, plus one more (The Faceless Man) that you can find by completing specific actions, noted by the game as “a boy must beat the game before a man unlocks”. Plus, you can unlock one new skin for every character. Whenever you pick a new character, they start the story mode anew, right back from level 1.
Hit the multi mode to do a semi-unless round with up to three other live players. Everybody will be kept on the screen at the same time; if everyone moves ahead of you, you’ll warp until you are with them. Your experience points and coins will add up and transfer, no matter if you leave the level early or not. Due to the team nature, you can get extremely far here. Once you die, you come back and respawn within about 15 seconds.
