During games in which the victor is only measured by kills, knock other players off of the platforms and off the stage to cause them to die immediately. During games in which the score is measured by points, though, don’t push or knock anyone off of platforms to their deaths. It will cause them to lose points but it won’t cause you to gain any points, and you’ll lose out on the opportunity to get a kill on that person, at least until the next time you get the chance to.

To get a bunch of free weapons, go to the multiplayer mode and scan the area for weapon drops on every turn. Prioritize weapon drops over actual fighting, instead saving your weapons, and pick up weapons drops. While you’re doing that, you might as well get the point drops, health drops (which earn you points) and keys (which also earn you points), so that you can finish each game with some rivets, and then use the keys to open up the locked boxes, which contain better treasures.

Use the rivets that you save from scoring free weapons to upgrade the body parts for your blastbot. Upgrading them gradually is far cheaper than buying the tier 2 and tier 3 body parts, so upgraded parts make a good holdover until you have enough rivets or gears for the tier 3 parts.

Score the most direct hits possible, even with weapons that have huge explosion radii. The more direct of a hit that you score, the more points you’ll get regardless of how much damage you do. And be sure to make use of weapons that start fires, such as the 40 Bomb, because if you can trap another blastbot in a fire, you’ll score points for as long as they get stuck in the fire.

If you need to practice aiming more with your weapons but you don’t want to waste weapons by aiming them poorly. When you are in practice mode you get to choose your weapons loadout, and your actual weapons (that you have stored up for campaign mode and for multiplayer) don’t get used up in the process.
