Bolt! for the iPhone, coming hot on the heels of the end of the Olympics, is a side scrolling endless running game starring Jamaican track star Usain Bolt, who has set many olympic records in his quest for gold medals. In this game, rather than being on the track, you play as Usain Bolt running along a beach somewhere in the Caribbean, running from pirates (get it?) and stealing their treasure. Strange? Yes, but it’s certainly fun. That specific treasure is coins, and everyone wants to figure out how to get more coins in the game. Read on to find out how!
One way to get free coins is to click the Facebook “like us and get 300 free coins!” button in the upper left corner of the main menu for Bolt. Hitting this button gets you 300 free coins instantaneously. This should give you almost enough to start spending in the store, at least after you get a few good games under your belt.
To ratchet up the amount of coins you earn in the game itself, simply get as far as you can in the rounds that you play. The farther into the rounds that you get, the more frequent coins become. Jump and slide when you need to in order to get as many coins as you can. Make sure you don’t get shot by the pirates, or hit any of the red barrels and red boxes, as they will blow you up.
Don’t worry about running into any of the brown barrels or the brown boxes, though. These don’t actually do anything to you when you hit them. They don’t even drain your fuel, so there’s no need to fear running into them. The red ones are the ones that you want to do your best to avoid.
