Bus Derby Tips and Tricks Guide – Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Bus Derby is a new and extremely weird yet addicting racing game for iOS and Android. You participate in a league of school bus racers, racing in everything from solo races to tournaments while trying to avoid getting wrecked by other buses. As you progress through the game you can earn coins and upgrade your bus, and even buy new buses, which is important to prepare yourself for the next difficulty level. Read on for some tips and tricks for Bus Derby for the iOS and Android!

One of the biggest issues in the game pops up when you try to drift around other buses, yet you end up getting blocked by them. Right from the beginning of the race, try to get in between buses when they move out of the way to start out with. Don’t run into the back of any buses or you’ll merely slow down. Move to the side of them.

The boost is a great way to get ahead, and the boost bar doesn’t even have to be full in order to use it. The boost just goes until the boost meter runs out. Use it when you’re stuck next to a bus to rocket right past them quickly, or when you’re in a straightaway, or recovering from rear ending a bus.

There are multiple ways to negotiate a turn depending on how high your grip is upgraded. If your bus doesn’t have much grip then hit the brakes right before a turn and take the turn a little slower. You don’t have to if your grip is high (which it should be). With a highly upgraded grip, try to drift and/or power slide around the turn. Use the boost in the turn and you’ll turn much tighter and much more quickly.

If you’re having a hard time winning races but you want to make coins quickly, then spend an entire race crashing and flipping other buses for bonus coins. If a bus is already crashing or flipping and you run into it solidly, you’ll earn coins for doing that as well.

Skip buying the burner, which costs 7,999 coins because using an upgraded version of the original bus is a quick way to earn coins. Instead, save up for the mini slider and buy that one, because its statistics are FAR higher than the burner.
