Candy Patrol: Top Tips, Walkthrough, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Candy Patrol is a new game by Orbital Knight for the iOS and Android platforms. This tower defense game puts you in charge of defending your candy farm from waves and legions of monsters who love nothing more than to steal your candy. You can earn coins and gems, and you can unlock special abilities in addition to blowing away enemies with your slingshot, as you quest through hundreds of levels. Read on for some tips and tricks for Candy Patrol!

Your main attack is your candy cannon, which you’ll shoot out if you hold your finger down on the screen, or if you tap rapidly. The candy bounces off of whatever it hits, so use that to your advantage. Zig-zag a steady stream of candy in such a way that it blocks the flow of monsters coming in from the other side of the level. They can’t get to your candy if they can’t get past the gumballs.

When monsters start coming in from multiple directions at a time, then first, go for the ones that have quick access to either your candy or to an escape route. The most dangerous monsters should be the first to go. And have some of your special moves left over for large crowds of monsters, since your special moves deal splash damage. Without the special moves, you’re likely to end up losing some candies.

After you three-star a level, you’ll have some incentive to go back and grind it. Look for Chester the golden-egg monster to pop up. It’s a major pain to kill because it hunkers down when you hit it a few times, but be patient and keep at it til you get rid of it. Chests offer coins, hero cards, move cards, and more, making it extremely worth it to go after Chester whenever you can.

Also available on the three-starred levels will be a fourth star. To get the fourth star, you have to beat the level again, but you have to complete a very specific mission, such as to nail four enemies using the poison gas attack, to hit with an 80% accuracy, or to defeat specific numbers of enemies using bouncing candies. Go back and do these missions if you find yourself in need of extra stars in order to move forward in the levels.

If you have no internet connection, then you can still play the game. However, a glitch will cause the game to freeze after you kill Chester the golden egg. If you beat Chester, you’ll open the chest, and you’ll earn all of the rewards, but when you hit the “claim chest” button at the end of the opening sequence, the game will freeze. Close it out completely, open it back up, and then you’ll have all of the rewards you got from that chest.
