Cosmos Quest: Walkthrough, Cheats, Tips, and Strategy Guide

Cosmos Quest is a new iOS and Android game by Kongregate based off of a similar game of the same name that’s still on their online platform to this day. Your goal in this game is to conquer space and time, explore, discover, evolve, and conquer to make it from one age to the next.

You can rack up energy, population, and more, while collecting orbs, heroes, and weapons, setting off on various expeditions, and conquering to build new civilizations. And of course, you can time warp right back to the beginning with all sorts of boosts to start anew.

Tapping is how you begin the game, but the beginning of the game is about the only time that it’s useful. Otherwise, the idle income is by far the most useful. So when it comes time to pick between tapping power and idle energy during an upgrade, pick the idle energy every single time.

You’ll have to do a combination of leveling-up, upgrading, and evolving your various discoveries in order to make it further and unlock the next civilization. Once you make it far enough, you’ll have to use blueprints in order to research the next civilization.

If all of the “research” buttons are grayed out, then you have to do one of two things. The first thing is to evolve yourself. To do this, hit the player profile button, and if the Evolve button is lit up, click Evolve. Then go back to your world area and you’ll be able to start researching, upgrading, and evolving things again.

If the evolve button isn’t lit up, then one of the three evolution criteria isn’t fulfilled. The three criteria are maximum energy, conquest, and research. Usually, conquest is the last requirement to be filled. That means that you’ll have to go to the quest area and battle.

Questing to conquer new areas is about hero levels and smart hero weaponry, but once you get into the tougher battles, you have to start matching your heroes’ characteristics favorably against the characteristics of each of your rivals in order to get a strong advantage.

To do this, place your preferred heroes from right (first hero) to left (last hero) and look at their icons. Sun beats Wrench, Wrench beats Heart, Heart beats Lead, Leaf beats Potion, and Potion beats Sun. Get the advantageous matchup against everybody to have the best shot at winning.

This also gives you the best shot at getting three stars in a single match, and the more stars you get, the bigger the rewards. Go back to levels that you’ve earned less than three stars on to try for the rewards. You can do the extra stages on each civilization level, too, but they provide far less rewards than old levels do.

Hit the Infinity Tower area, which is inside of a sub-tab of quests. Do the maximum battle and you’ll automatically fight to the highest floor that you can before losing. Every level you beat presents you with a reward, including many new heroes, far more population, upgrade items, orbs, and more.

Do the Big Crunch to reset the universe whenever you have a large multiplier to gain. The longer that you can wait and the more you can juice up the multiplier, the more Omegas (the horseshoe icon) you’ll have that you can then spend on permanent bonuses.

The most important thing to spend the Omegas on is the Neutrino Mixer, which will decrease the amount of time needed to research or evolve. That timer is the most time-consuming part of every round, and this allows you to cut the time down significantly.

Other than that, upgrade the energy multiplier as well. The building cost upgrade is not very useful since energy is one thing you’ll almost never be short of as you play this game through.
