Zombie bosses can be extremely tough to kill; however, many of the power ups that you pick up during runs will help. Find a glowing box loaded with weaponry or rockets, or something similar, and you’ll get a power up. Nitro, for example, will shoot you ahead in the stage by about 1,000 meters. Quad damage will cause every shot that you fire to do 4x the damage, while infinite ammo will allow you to keep shooting with no need to reload. To clarify, these help when there aren’t bosses, too – they just REALLY help when there’s a boss on your tail.

Other things that help include power ups that you can buy in the store, right before you play a round. You can buy double ammo, quick reloading, head starts (which give you a 1,000 meter head start) or second chances, which let you regenerate once if you die on a stage.

The most important purchases, though, are the upgrades, which are the new bikes and the new weapons. First, the bikes, which are under the bike tab. You can either upgrade a bike by hitting the “upgrade” button under a bike that you already have, or you can buy an all new bike. Usually, upgrading a bike that you already have will have more of an effect, but it may cost more coins, as well. If you’d like, you can also hit “color” to paint your bike.

Go to “weapon” and you won’t find any upgrades. You’ll just find new weapons of all types that you can buy, from pistols to shotguns to automatic handguns to grenade launchers. To the far right in the shop are two premium “weapons” – Betty the Beater and Veronica the Shooter, who you can buy with real money in the app store (not coins).

Finally, to the far right in the garage are the stages. Right now, you can unlock the Suburbs at level 5, the Megalopolis at level 9 and the Bridge at rank 13, and other stages, such as the slums, are coming soon. You don’t need to spend any coins to get the new stages. Once you rank up to the required rank, the stage will automatically be open.
