Disco Zoo is a new zoo management game from NimbleBit, the folks that brought us Tiny Tower and Pocket Planes, as well as Tiny Death Star. Disco Zoo’s goal is simple: to go on safaris and collect as many animals for your zoo as possible. Read on for some tips and tricks for Disco Zoo!
Each time that you go on a safari in the farm area, you will be able to see all of the various patterns for the animals. In the outback and beyond that, though, you won’t be able to see animal patterns unless you buy the ZooPedia. At the end of each rescue mission, though, you will see the pattern on all of the animals that you failed to get. Find something to write these down on so you can go back for them later and know where to look.
Check the game as often as possible to make sure that your animals are not asleep. If they do go to sleep then you will stop earning coins from them, but if you wake them up, they will start earning you coins again. Level them up in order to earn more coins and to keep them awake longer. Leveling up, of course, is done by collecting more and more animals.
Whenever you see coins fall when you’re in the zoo, you have to tap them in order to collect them or else they will disappear. When they disappear, they are gone for good, but if you tap them, you will collect them. They can come in denominations of 1, 5, 10 or even 25 so make sure to keep checking and tapping. Just sit around and tap coins if you have nothing else to do or are saving up for a new aircraft.
Every time you see a smiley face in the upper right corner of the screen, tap that too in order to collect a large coin bonus. It’s usually because someone gave your zoo a good review, and the more animals you get, the more of the good bonuses will appear.
Each newspaper corresponds to a different area that you have unlocked. The higher you increase your ratings with each newspaper, the more coins you will be likely to earn, whether by bonuses or by more visitors coming by and leaving tips by the exhibits.
