Draconius GO – Top Tips, Cheats, Strategies, and Dragon Guide

Draconius GO: Catch a Dragon is the first true Pokemon GO competitor to come out on the App Store. This game plays in much the same way as Pokemon GO does, but with enough additions and changes to make it something unique. Your goal is to catch dragons, battle them on the world map and against others, participate in quests and catch as many dragons as you can. Read on for some tips and tricks for Draconius GO: Catch a Dragon!

Catching things works in much the same way in this game as in Pokemon GO, in that you throw a ball either straight or curved (curved for a bonus) and earn experience by catching dragons. The Arcana Caramel, Magical Doughnut and Unicorn’s Marshmallow work the same way as the Razz, Pinap or Nanab berries to help you either catch them more easily or to earn more essence when you do catch them.

The Pillars of Abundance are where you go to restock on items, and in this game, they don’t necessarily correlate with any particular landmarks – they are based off of random sets of coordinates, so you can go anywhere to find them, not just a major downtown or old sector of a city. Go here to restock on spheres and any other items you may need, as well as, of course, to gain experience.

Obelisks are the large structures you see on the map, and you go here in order to participate in quests. Quests can earn you large bonuses, and many of the items that you earn from the Pillars are related to completing said quests. Obelisks will give you fragments of the map and allow you to start using your shovels to hunt for treasure.

You’ll often encounter monsters in random battles in this game, so the more strong dragons that you have and the higher their CP are, the better prepared you’ll be for battle. The higher your level and the stronger your dragons, the stronger the monsters will be that you face. Use elements to your advantage – for example, fire beats plant, or water beats fire.

You can capture buildings such as libraries and arenas in order to boost your own training and your coin earnings. These are a far rarer sight than the usual obelisks and pillars, so you’ll have to look around your city for them.
