Drag Racing Classic – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Drag Racing Classic is a new iPhone and iPad racing game. There are already many others on the App Store, but Drag Racing Classic features game modes that allow you to race against other players for real-life money prizes, as well as tune your car in ways that are a little more in-depth than what you usually see in a game like this. Read on for some tips and tricks for Drag Racing Classic!

When the race is beginning, pay attention to the tachometer and to the go light in the middle of the screen. When the light turns green, that is when both cars will go, and when that happens, you want your car to be revving in the green zone for that extra speed boost. The faster your car is, the smaller the green zone will generally be.

Once you pick your car, you can start racing right away in either the career mode or the quick race modes. Quick race in particular is a good way to grind for cash so that you can earn money for upgrades to your car. As you purchase more upgrades and your car gets faster, you will be able to win bigger prizes in in-game cash than you would in the easy modes.

Not only can you purchase upgrades for your car, but you can alter the gear ratio of your transmission. This won’t make a huge difference early on (unless you screw it up by making gears too close together or too far away), and there are presets there if you want to automatically drop in a setting for 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile. Be sure to test whatever you choose before you spend an RP to change it.

The gear ratio changes will become majorly important once you get into the level 5 and level 6 cars, though. With those cars having between 800 and 1,400 horsepower, it can be very easy to spin the tires especially in cars that don’t have the insane stock grip of a Veyron or a Veyron SS. For example, the Hennessey Venom GT and the SSC Tuatara will need a bit of help in this area.

If you are running one of the cheaper cars, though, save up for a higher-level car. Only buy upgrades when you need to, rather than upgrading all the way. Nitrous alone often makes a huge difference as far as upgrades go, just as long as you have the tires to support the extra power that you’ll get from it.
