In the single-player mode, your goal is to free all of the villages that you can. Each time that you free a village, you will get a certain prize specific to that village. For example, you may unlock a new ninja or a new dragon. Or the village will pay you resources as a tribute, which you can come back and collect at regular intervals.

Be sure to pay attention to the strengths chart when you’re deciding which troops to release. For troops, light beats precision, which beats magic, which beats heavy, which beats light. For the dragons, fire beats ice, which beats electricity, which beats poison, which beats stone, which beats fire. Using the elementals the right way can make the difference between victory and defeat in a tough battle.

Speed up the battles by hitting the button in the upper right corner of the screen to double the speed of all of the animations. Hit the auto button to switch it to auto battle mode if it’s not too tough of a battle; if it is a really tough battle, though, you will want to keep it in manual mode so that you can strategize.

Tend to your village in order to maximize what you can do in battle. Activate the gem altar first in order to collect free gems every so often, and then when you can, use those gems to purchase another builder so that you can build more than one thing at a time. And keep your storehouses upgraded so that you don’t end up maxing out on resources; otherwise, your conquests will be next to useless.

You can always speed up a piece of construction by watching a video for free. Or, you can spend gems in order to do it. Be sure to dig up all of the chests that you can in your village to earn free gems and other goodies. Watch the videos to speed them up because they each take 15 minutes to dig up.
