Dragons of Atlantis – Heirs of the Dragon: Part 2 of the Guide to the Grodz Bases

Welcome to part 2 of the Dragons of Atlantis – Heirs of the Dragon Grodz Base/Campaign Mode guide! Click here to go back to part 1 of the guide.

The 10th and final Grodz base is one where the number of troops stays completely unknown the entire time, as does the strength of the troops. Any time that you spy or that you check the battle report after a battle, instead of showing what troops will use, it will only show a green bar representing “Troop Strength”. The bar will show as depleted by a certain number depending on how many of his troops you killed.

Your goal, of course, is to deplete the bar the entire way. From experience, the troops on the 10th Grodz Base are about the same strength as the troops for the 9th Grodz Base (which are 260 Giants and 600 Battle Dragons). So whatever you used to defeat Grodz at base 9, you can get away with using the same troop strength to defeat Grodz the 10th time.

You can fight the 10th Grodz base over and over once you complete it. Each time that you beat the base, you’ll earn exactly one piece of Dragon Armor, so you’ll need to fight Grodz’ final base at least 4 times (if not more, depending on your likelihood of earning the right armor).

You’re going to lose a lot of troops if your strongest troops are the Battle Dragons, so in order to lose less troops, make sure to try and use Giants and Fire Mirrors as part of your attack in order to minimize the troop loss if you’re going to fight Grodz 10 over and over.

Once you get all 4 necessary pieces of Dragon Armor, though, you’ll actually be able to take the Great Dragon into battle with you against Grodz 10, so make sure to make the dragon useful!
