Drancia: Tips, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Drancia is a new survival action RPG for the iOS and Android platforms, based off of the 2008 browser game Drancia Survival. Your goal here, as in the predecessor game, is to control your cute little 8 bit character as he or she tries to defeat a nearly endless horde of enemies and boss characters. Read on for some tips and tricks for the new Drancia!

The main form of currency in this game is gems, and you earn a certain number of gems every time that you play a round. You can buy multiple items before you begin a round using your gems, and then equip them, but unfortunately they are one-use-only items. That means that there is almost no point in equipping them unless you are going for a record run and equipping multiples at a time.

Coins are picked up in the middle of a round and are used to improve your skills. To earn more coins, increase the size of your chain combo, and to do that, you want to avoid getting hit. Whenever you get hit your chain combo goes away, but it stays as long as you don’t get hit by anyone. Your chain will increase your coin multiplier with every ten hits that you reach.

Unlock the magic attacks as quickly as you can, no matter which character you are using. Not only are they good as a “smart bomb” for when you are under heavy attack, but use them against tough bosses for a quick advantage to shorten the battle. You’ll see the icon appear that looks like a pearl when you get your first magic upgrade. Tap it in order to cast a spell.

If you are having trouble on one particular stage or one branch of a stage, switch characters as needed to see which ones are more advantageous in battle. If you are stuck with one character, you may find that it is much easier to get past the stage that you are stuck on by using a different character.

Go to the bar and you can unlock a number of brand new characters. Dramos can be unlocked by spending 60 gems, while the other two can be unlocked by purchasing IAPs for one dollar each, labeled as either treating Skipmore to coffee or to a beer.
