Dwarven Den is a new puzzler for the iPhone and iPad. Your goal is to guide your dwarf through a series of mineshafts, digging through blocks of dirt, stone and other stuff, in a quest to rescue your fellow dwarves who got trapped in the mines, as well as finding all kinds of other good stuff on the way. Read on for some tips and tricks for Dwarven Den!
When you run out of energy before finishing a stage, you will lose a life. You have three maximum lives, and each life takes half an hour to recover when you lose it, unless you want to spend gems on more lives. There are two ways to get more lives for free in this game. One of those ways is to get lives from people on Facebook who play the game as well. If you don’t know anyone else who does, you can find info from people on the App Store review page, on the comments section of this article, or on the Facebook pages for this game.
Another way is simply to set the time ahead on your phone or iPad. If you are completely out of lives, set it ahead by an hour and a half and then go back to Dwarven Den. Then go back to the date and time settings and set the time back to normal, and your newfound lives will still be there.
In the stages themselves, you’ll need energy, and you will need tech in order to use bombs and other goodies. Make your way towards the blue and red crystals as a matter of first priority because without enough tech and energy, you’re screwed. Then focus on the rest of the stage after that. Scan around the stage to see where you can go next and not run into a solid wall.
Your equipment will increase both your base energy and your base power, so blow through as many blocks as you can before leaving the stage to increase your chances of finding new equipment. When you get duplicate equipment, use the “forge” function to spend your gold in order to combine it into more powerful equipment. Anything that you find can be forged to strengthen it, as long as you have duplicates of that equipment.
Stuck on a stage? Go back to old stages and play again to earn more gold and equipment, so that you can then forge dupes, equip the good stuff, and go back to the new stages with an advantage. You can play stages as often as you want without losing lives, as long as you keep winning.
