As previously noted, one of the question mark power ups that you can earn is one that will allow you to roll through walls, from left to right or from right to left. When you get this one, you can stop thinking for a few seconds. Simply hold to either the left or right, and let the ball go through the wall over and over, falling down platforms as it goes. This is the easiest few seconds that you’ll have in the game.
It’s hard to tell if this next tip is 100% true because the levels in the game are randomized, but it seems like if you buy a more expensive ball using the stars that you earn in each round, the stage becomes slightly easier, with more gaps in between the platforms that you can fall through. The background, however, does not seem to make any sort of difference.
Use a background with better visibility, though, such as the all black background, which is less distracting for your subconscious, because there is no still image in the background to concentrate on. You may not notice a difference in your conscious mind, but that doesn’t mean it’s not working.
And use a ball with high visibility, such as the smiley or the yellow and pink striped candy ball (which are far brighter than the rainbow ball). The brighter the ball, the more easily that your mind can tell what’s going on and make speedy decisions, even subconsciously.
Go to the options menu, which is in the shape of the little gear, and you’ll find an option to turn on the tilt mode if you want to, which enables you to steer by tilting your device. It’s recommended to keep it off, however, as it will massively slow down your steering of the ball and make it difficult to pull off rapid directional changes.
