Family Zoo: The Story – Zoo-building Tips, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Family Zoo: The Story is a new game for the iOS and Android platforms where you take an old zoo, rebuild it and make it look brand new, with all kinds of personal touches. You also have match-three gameplay where you can compete for coins, tickets, and high scores, so that you can renovate your zoo or simply play the matching part only. Read on for some tips and tricks for Family Zoo: The Story!

If all that you want to do is play the matching part of the game, then all that you have to do is continue playing the match mode (“play button”) over and over until either your energy runs out or you get sick of it. You only lose energy if you lose at a level, so to get that energy back, you can either wait it out or you can set the time ahead on your phone and then go to the game to see your energy return right away.

During the matches themselves, you can blow up all kinds of special blocks in order to speed along the round and win the match with many moves to spare. The blocks differ a little bit from your typical match-3 game. You have a bomb, a larger bomb, a barrel bomb, and a crazy orange. They all have different blast radii, with the barrel bomb blowing up nearly the entire board. The crazy orange gets rid of all of one color.

Mixing two different bombs together can give a little bit of a bonus. Mix two small ones to get a small one plus a whole line blown up, and mix a small and a medium bomb to get a medium bomb with one line going horizontally or vertically. Don’t mix the crazy orange with any bombs, though, or the bomb will blow up the crazy orange and render it unusable.

Make sure that you have as many moves left over as possible at the end of a stage. the more that you have, the more coins you’ll earn. Also, when bombs pop up automaitcally after using your last move, these will blow up, clear blocks, and earn you more coins. Often, half of your coins will come in between your final move and your completion of the level.

You can redecorate your zoo as many times as you want to. You’re just going to need to have coins if you want to do that. Also, once you complete your tasks in an enclosure, open it up and you will be able to start a new series of enclosure tasks.
