Farmville: Harvest Swap – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Farmville: Harvest Swap is a new match-three puzzle game for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal in this game is to match three or more crops in order to collect them, as well as to fulfill more quotas and goals, and while this might seem like a fresh paint job on the Candy Crush concept, there is quite a bit more that separates this game from the other match-3 competition. Read on for some tips and tricks for FarmVille: Harvest Swap!

Like in most games of this type, you start off with five lives, and whenever you lose all five of your lives, you have to wait half an hour for at least one of them to return. One alternative to this is to set the time ahead on your phone or tablet by half an hour per life that you want to get back. Do this and then go back to the game and you will have a full set of lives. Once you set the time back to normal, you keep all of those extra lives as well.

If you would rather not do it this way, then an alternative is to connect to Facebook so that you can ask people for lives. If you have no friends who play the game then look for people who have posted their info in the comments here, in the App Store or Google Play review pages, or elsewhere who want to be added on Facebook, add them, then send lives back and forth. If you don’t want to add them on your main account, then start a second Facebook account for gaming only.

Most of the special moves will be old hat to Candy Crush vets, such as the barrel and the sparkling crop (five pieces and four pieces respectively make these happen) or a prize crop which is made by an L-shape or a T-shape combo. Make a box of 2×2 crops and you get a box, which can then be used by drawing a line through a crop next to it, and then making a line using all adjacent crops of the same color (including diagonal crops).

There is a different strategy and a different goal to every stage, so be sure to pay attention to what you are actually supposed to do on each level. One thing that is the same for every level is that mixing two of the special pieces together (a prize or a sparkling crop and a barrel, or two barrels, for instance) is the best way to clear out a ton of crops at once.

A trick with the boxes is that if you have two boxes on the screen at once, you can do the following trick. First, draw a line through one type of crop. End the line on the second box, and then from there you can draw a line through another set of crops. You can do this and make as long of a multi-box combo as you want, with as many boxes as you have on screen at a time.
