Fields of Battle Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Fields of Battle is a new iOS game by Greg Hastings, in which you play paintball in a group setting. It plays much like most other FPSs, but with differences that owe to the fact that it’s a paintball game, not a real gun game, and with the group settings included. You play in teams, and your goal is to emerge with your team being the victorious one. Read on for some tips and tricks for Fields of Battle for the iPhone, iPad and other iOS devices!

The most important thing in each round is to know where to put your fingers, especially your right finger, depending on what you want to do. Avoid the grenade button unless you actually want to use grenades, or the game will frustratingly send you to the store every time you accidentally tap it. Same with the ammo reload button (which is the button in the bottom center of the screen). The red lines on the bottom right are your fire buttons, and everywhere on the right side other than that, allows you to aim and turn.

In addition to the aim and turn buttons, swiping on the left side allows you to move forward and backwards, strafe to the left or strafe to the right. Turning the iPhone or iPad allows you to look up, down or side to side (or anywhere you want to look). However, this won’t steer you if you try to turn by using this method.

Play in as many games as you can to gain as many levels as you can. The more levels that you gain, the more equipment that you can unlock including better costumes and better guns. These will allow you to move faster and shoot better compared to the equipment that you start off with.

However, upgrading your equipment over and over won’t make you good if you are forgetting some basic strategies. For example, when you are far away, zoom in on enemy players (denoted with the red marker above their heads). Adjust your aim up by a certain degree depending on how far away they are. Watch your paintballs to determine how much they are dropping, and then use that to aim at the enemy.
