One of the most common bird-killers in this game is when the space between the two pipes is high, then immediately low on the next pipe. You’ll have to time your drops perfectly on these ones, and not bounce up any more than you have to. You’ll have to come fairly close to the pipe when you drop, usually. The reverse (a down to up jump) is usually easier to time.
If you have multiple devices, try this game on every single one of them. The iPhone 5/5c/5s is one of the worst to play this game on because the ads can be distracting. iPads are excellent for playing this game because when you are playing, the ads don’t show up across the top of the screen, and the larger screen makes it easier to focus and ignore the score.
Still not satisfied, and you want to hack this game? It’s possible to do with or without a jailbreak, but you will need to have iExplorer on your computer, and your iPhone or iPad hooked up with the Flappy Bird app closed. Go to your iExplorer first.
Once it’s opened up, go to your apps folder. Once you’re in the folder that contains all of your app files, go to the Flappy Bird folder, then look for the file called Atlas. You can go here and change things around. One of the most common and effective cheats is to change the number of the up-pipe and down-pipe so that they are exactly the same. This will cause everything but the rim of the pipe to disappear, making it very easy to get stupidly high scores.
Plus, other forms of goofing around can be done in there too. If you’re so inclined, you can mess with the image files in the game in order to change your character from the usual Flappy Bird to someone completely different (say, for example, a Final Fantasy VI character), or simply change Flappy Bird’s colors. It’s all up to you and your imagination. If you screw up the game while you’re messing around, though, simply delete the app and download it again.
