Food Battle: The Game – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategies, Page 1

Food Battle: The Game is Smosh’s new iOS and Android game. After a successful Indiegogo run, this game brings a surprisingly VERY strong action-adventure experience to the table, with level-by-level Zeldaesque gameplay, crystals and Smosh’s humor providing laughs, and some bizarre weapons and enemies associated with the annual Food Battle videos. Even Ian’s mom is there. Read on for some tips and tricks for Food Battle: The Game!

Enemies can become rather tough to kill pretty quickly, or at least kill without losing health. Adopt a hit and run technique, or use the burrito bomb to attack tougher enemies so that you can throw, run and let it charge, then throw again until you win. With the celery sword, speed is the key. Run up, slash and run away, and repeat.

If you need to get more food ingredients, a cheap and easy way to do so is to go back to the stages that you’ve already beaten and play through them again, as you can always find what you need. Same thing works for grinding for coins, too – go back and open all of the chests and slice bushes, Zelda style, to find coins.

Ingredients will typically differ each time you go to a stage, so go to the same stage and play over and over and you will have a chance at finding new ones. Upgrade your current ingredients to make it easier to kill enemies, due to being able to use longer combos and to have each hit do more damage. Don’t neglect upgrading long range weapons, such as the burrito bomb.

Don’t neglect new clothing recipes as well – your regular clothing is ok but new clothing will have more armor. There are three armor tiers – light, medium and heavy, and three clothing types that can be worn at the same time: hats, pants and shirts. Armor costs crystals rather than coins, so buy sparingly. Save up for the more expensive armor with better protection.

Want to get more crystals? Right now, the only way to get free crystals is to find them scattered around the stages. You’ll generally find more of them in new stages than in stages that you’ve already played before but they can be found in either.
