Food Battle: The Game – Top 20 Tips, Tricks, Cheats and Glitches

Food Battle: The Game is the triumphant video game adaptation of Smosh’s annual Food Battle series on YouTube. This game features Ian and Anthony as well as a number of other characters from the Smosh world, such as the Teleporting Fat Guy, Stevie and Ian’s mom. It starts off easy but gets tough REALLY quickly, with battling and puzzles reminiscent of a level-based Zelda game. Read on for the top 20 tips and tricks for Food Battle: The Game!

20) Some stars can’t be earned right away on each stage.
Oftentimes you have to go back later to earn stars, because different weapons are required in order to solve different puzzles, yet many stars will be hidden behind puzzles that require future weapons. In this case, don’t worry about them right now. Just beat the stage by finding the Teleporting Fat Guy and go back for the stars later.

19) Upgrade your weapons to do more damage to enemy donuts.
You need a mixture of ingredients and coins to upgrade your weapons at Ian’s mom’s house, and the more that you upgrade your weapons, the more effective they will be. The Celery Sword is, of course, the most effective for hand to hand combat, with the Burrito Bomb being the best for splash damage and the Gummy Whip being the best for long-range attacks.

18) Use your long range weapons, especially the Gummy Whip, to shoot through walls and get stars.
Hit the star cage with the Gummy Whip and you’ll knock it off, no matter how many walls and doors are in the way, as long as you can see it on the screen. Then tap the star again and you will collect it. This cheat makes it EXTREMELY easy to get what would otherwise be some hard-to-reach stars.

17) Kill donuts or open up the unadorned boxes in order to earn more coins.
Or, if you are in the factory stages later in the game, attack the flour boxes in order to earn coins as well. Sometimes, the flour boxes and wooden boxes can also earn you more red energy and blue stamina, the former which is required to continue a stage and the latter which powers every weapon except the celery sword.

16) Open the gold treasure boxes for more ingredients.
Coins are easier and more obvious to earn, but gold boxes are where the real good and rare stuff is. That’s where you will find new ingredients, and the right blend of ingredients is required in order to upgrade your weapons or to cook some new clothing or armor at Ian’s mom’s house.
