Gatecrasher is an app for the iOS and Android. Despite sounding like the name of a new virus, this is actually an endless flying game that requires you to blow through gates, at speed, in order to get to the next level. There is nothing to purchase in this game – only a goal to get to the highest possible level. Read on for some tips and tricks for Gatecrasher!
You have a number of gates to go through in a level before you get to the next-level gate. The next-level gate, the swirly one, is actually very easy to get through. Enter the opening, and then whatever direction the gate goes in, hold your screen in that direction as the size of the gate is synced up with the size of your ship.
As for the other gates, the opening is more fixed on them. You can either hold the screen or do quick-taps in order to move you ship. Quick taps are easier if the next gate is not a long distance away or simply if you are used to tapping games. However, if you go the wrong way or you have to go all the way to the other side of the screen, and you need to fly to the opening QUICKLY, then hold the screen.
Hit the options menu and you will be able to look at all of the high scores on the platform of your choice worldwide, whether it’s through Apple’s Game Center or through Google Play. If you see some crazy high score like Level 999999, then ignore it as it’s hacked. Scroll down to the high-but-realistic scores and then compare yourself against those ones.
Look for patterns in the levels. The gates will tend to repeat themselves when you replay certain levels. If the gates are extra close together, then you’ll see a repeat of two or three gates over and over again alternating, so prepare for those ahead of time.
Also, keep an eye on how many gates you have to pass for the rest of the level. Level one has five total gates. Level two has 10 gates, level 3 has 15 gates, and so on and so forth. Each level will have 5 more gates to pass than the level before it did.
