If you loved the old Ghostbusters movies, games, shows and all of the classic media, then the brand new iPhone and iPad Ghostbusters game should be welcome news to you. It’s an excellent game on its own merits, even before you consider the classic name that it had to live up to. There are two types of currency in this game: bucks and power cores. Bucks are the main currency, while power cores are the “freemium” premium currency. Read on for tips on how to get more of both!
The top way to get more bucks in this game is simply to grind on the same levels over and over for more bucks per victory. It costs 20 energy to do so each time, but it’s well worth it for what you get. If you play a hard stage you earn 1,500 bucks for winning, while a medium stage earns you 900 bucks and an easy stage earns you 600 bucks. Do the hardest stages that you’re capable of beating at the time; initially, medium stages will be fairly easily beatable but hard stages will not.
Another way to earn more bucks, and one of the quickest, is to complete the quests that are given to you and are accessible by the icon in the upper left corner of the main city screen. Usually, these will involve catching a certain number of a specific type of ghost or unlocking access to the next floor of the tower, or beating the boss level on the next floor.
Beating the boss level will also net you a massive amount of bucks. Get as much slime as you can as quickly as possible in order to unlock the boss level as quickly as possible.
There is only one way to get more power cores, and that is to buy them through the app store. To do that, go to the store and go to the section where you purchase more resources. Once you do that, you can buy anywhere between a buck worth and 99 dollars worth of power cores. You can also buy team boosts that can earn you 25 percent more cash per bust.
