Global Assault – Tips, Tricks, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Global Assault is a new strategy RPG for the iOS and Android platforms by Kongregate. The battle system is a variant of the kind used in many other Kongregate games such as Tyrant Unleashed, but with a much different appearance, as you and the Havoc crew battle it out against rogue military organizations throughout the world. Read on for some tips and tricks for Global Assault!

The cornerstone of this game, as far as improving the fighting fortunes of your force go, is research, but research generally takes a long time to complete unless you want to spend Volt Coins in order to speed it up. Instead of doing that, though, you can set the time ahead on your phone or tablet in order to speed it up. Once you set the time ahead go back to the game and collect your finished research.

Not only can you do that, but once you collect the finished research you can go back to the date and time settings and set the time back to normal. Once you do this, go back to the game and any research that you completed will still be done. This trick is also excellent for recovering from the damage done to your ship or for speeding up fusion projects in the armory, among other things.

Volt coins are the premium currency in this game and are the fastest way to get rare or super rare fighters, aside from the armory, so save up your volt coins for the rare and elite supply drops in the store. Don’t spend them on speeding up anything even if you don’t want to do the time lapse cheat. Just wait it out and save up your Volt Coins for the good supply drops.

Resources, which are the silver coins, though, should be saved and not spend on ordinary supply drops. Use them instead to upgrade the existing troops in your active battle party. The upgrades will allow them to be used in the Armory so that they can be fused to make better and rarer troops, as well as give them an instant statistical increase.

In battle, be careful so that you don’t end up auto-battling the whole thing and losing. Auto battle is good against easy enemies, but terrible against tougher enemies, as the game tends to put your troops out into the worst possible locations. Take over the reigns yourself and send you troops out into generally the same rows as your enemy troops, although defensive specialists should be used to block enemy troops while offensive specialists should be set in back, behind a strong defender, and put into blank rows to attack the enemy’s mobile command whenever possible.
