Go Go Ghost is a new level-based running game by DeNA, who is typically better known for its card battlers. The gameplay is very similar to LINE Cookie Run, but instead of endless gameplay you have levels to quest through, a la Candy Crush Saga. The collection element makes an appearance too, with a host of creatures, including (of course) rare and super-rare ones that you can collect to help you on runs. Read on for some tips and tricks for Go Go Ghost!
The time lapse cheat works here in order to restore your energy, but it’s a bit tricky. You need 30 minutes to restore each energy point, but if you set the time ahead by less than the total time needed to restore one energy, go back to the game and that time will be shaved off of the cooldown time. However, set your time past it and it won’t be restored – the timer will just flip over back to the maximum again. So it takes a number of steps to restore energy quickly, but it’s worth it.
Different creatures will add different abilities to your character, so put a wide variety in there. It’s useless to have more than one creature with the same ability – for example, two creatures whose ability is to have the coin chomper activated. The exception is if you have two creatures with the same ability but different colors, since being able to activate them with different gems will make the duplicate special ability happen twice as frequently.
You can use your gold to buy new creatures, and you can use your diamonds to buy super-rare creatures. Also, though, save up your gold so that you can purchase more runners. They each have special abilities – for example, the 5,000 gold Lightfoot Cassowary can do triple jumps, and the Slowfoot Tortoise runs at a slower speed.
You’ll earn diamonds from various special events and from beating the boss every ten or so levels. You’ll earn ten diamonds for every boss that you beat. Save them up, because once you hit 50 diamonds, you can go back to thereature camp and get yourself a rare or super rare creature.
Each character starts off at level 1. If you go to the Creature Camp and get a duplicate of that character, the character’s level will go up by one, which allows them to give more of a bonus to your runner – for example, a longer interval of coin chomper activation.
Most of the time, the path of the coins will show you the safest path, so always try to jump after the coins except for deviations that are required to earn stars. The exceptions are when a moving enemy is on screen that is at risk of killing you if you get into the wrong landing point.
