D.O.T. Defender of Texel is a new retro themed RPG/card battling game by DeNA on the Mobage network, and has recently become one of the more popular games on the iOS platform. You fight with a party of nine fighters, and while you start off with common fighters, you can end up with rare and epic fighters, strengthening your team greatly and setting you up for success in your quest to progress through the world and fight against other defenders of Texel. Read on for some tips and tricks!
The cards that you start off with are fairly weak, but it is fairly easy to strengthen your team quickly. Go to the “band” menu and sacrifice the cards that you are not using in order to level up the cards that you are using, and strengthen all of their stats. It’s recommended to level up your rarest cards first and foremost, because they are the ones that will be the toughest to replace with rarer cards. Common cards are easily replaceable.
When you get uncommon and rare cards, make sure that you have at least one straight row of three, so that you can select it during a battle and do as much damage as possible on the first hit. If they are powerful enough, then you can win the battle on the first hit, causing you to take far less damage in the process.
An easy way to find friends to add is to go to the Friends menu, go to Search, and then type in three random letters. Every member whose username begins with those three letters will pop up. Just add them all, search again, add even more, and repeat over and over again to add the maximum number of friends.
As you progress further in the game you will earn Texi, Voxite and Pixite, which be used to buy new items and get new cards. Hit the Texi exchange to buy even more Voxite and Pixite as well as gear that you can equip to strengthen your entire army. Simply play more and battle more to earn more Texi.
