Ghostbusters is the long awaited adaptation of the classic 80s movie franchise to the iPhone and iPad, as well as other iOS devices. Just like in the old movies and games, you play as the Ghostbusters, and the action consists of busting ghosts, collecting slime, and doing research to find new technologies. Read on for some tips and tricks for Ghostbusters for the iPhone!
While it may be tempting to do the date and time trick in this game to try to speed up research, if you do try to speed up only 15 minutes or less worth of research time, if even that, and before you do so, shut down the app completely by double tapping the menu button off of your main screen and then shutting it down. If the game “catches” you, you’ll lose all of your energy, but if you do it right, the game won’t “catch” you.
When you’re busting multiple ghosts at a time, aim all of your team’s weapons at one ghost at the same time until it’s gone, and then at the next, and then at the next, one at a time until they’re all busted. This way, you’ll be able to quickly minimize the number of targets in your way so that you take less attack damage. Also, when you are fighting one of the bosses especially, you can have your scientist(s) take a break from healing your team members by having them target the ghost instead, and they can do extra damage. You can do this against any enemy but it is especially useful against bosses.
You need to manually collect the rewards for finishing your quests, as well as to manually finish off all of the research that you do in the tower even if the time has already finished on the research, so go back and do that before you go busting more ghosts. If you don’t collect first, you don’t get the boosts while you’re going ghost busting.
