Home Street is a new game for the iOS and Android platforms where you can build a house, interact with your neighbors, work a career, and essentially live a virtual life. You can even chat with other players using a real-time chat feature, making it similar to if you fused The Sims with Habbo Hotel or a similar type of other social game. Read on for some tips and tricks for Home Street!
One key difference between this and The Sims is that instead of just buying what you need with in-game currency, you have to craft in order to get some new items. Craft items are used for career advancement and to get new quests, so remember ABC: Always Be Crafting. Do short-term crafts when you’re playing actively and long-term quests when putting the game away for awhile.
To make the most out of the social functions of this game, find a neighborhood full of active players. If you end up in a neighborhood full of abandoned houses, then you won’t be able to make much good out of the game’s assorted social features, inlcuding the ones that you unlock with your own activities. If you’re in an abandoned neighborhood, then jump to another neighborhood. Repeat as necessary.
If you’re looking for what to do next, then follow what the missions tell you to do. They’re typically very easy to complete, and by following them, it’s easy to memorize where everything in the game is. Follow the missions even if you know what you’re doing in the game, unless you want to go rogue and do your own thing.
When you’re building your house, and adding onto it, you’ll be able to gradually turn it from a small flat into a mansion by adding rooms. Furniture is important to have, even outside of the personal style aspect, because you will earn a ton of experience points when you buy it, so make each new room that you add as large as possible in order to accommodate extra furniture.
Have as many friends as possible. You can send invites directly using invite codes, or you can add people who are in your neighborhood. Share your friend code using the comments box below if you want to add people to your friends list. The more friends that you have, the bigger the possible awards and free gifts that you can get (and give).
