Legends of Loot is a fun new RPG for the iPhone and other iOS devices, that blends the dungeon crawling gameplay of games such as the Mystery Dungeon series with games such as Fruit Ninja, where you swipe to attack and collect things. You play as some broke kid who had to choose between spending 25 cents on a hot dog and spending 25 cents on learning how to acquire fame and fortune, and then chooses the latter. The only way to get three stars on each stage is to take all three wagers per stage, and then complete all of the wagers before you finish out the stage. The toughest wagers are the ones where you take zero damage throughout the entire stage, but they are doable if you are quick enough during the battles.
In order to not take damage during the battle, be quick on the draw when it comes to swiping all of the yellow dots. One thing that helps is that any red dot that you hit after you hit the last yellow dot, won’t count. So if you are swiping and you hit a red dot before or in between the yellow dots, you will take damage, but if you hit it after the last yellow dot, it won’t do anything to you.
After you fight each enemy, they will erupt with coins and spiked balls that look like morning stars. Swipe all of the coins, because they are your top method of earning coins, but avoid the spiked balls as they will stop your coin earning effort.
The time that you take to complete a stage will affect your score on it, but your score does absolutely nothing for you except for placing you in a ranking against other players when you log into OpenFeint, and even that is essentially meaningless, so take your time in completing a stage so that you can find everything that you need to find.
