Every time that you open up a new batch of card packs, immediately go to the Manage screen and auto set the lineup. The game will automatically set the best lineup when you do this, and replace your weaker cards with your stronger cards. Once you do this, then you can go and sacrifice cards in the mentoring screen. The game will let you choose between every single one of the cards that is not in your lineup, so if you have auto set your lineup already, then feel free to sacrifice every single one of them. The higher the grade that the sacrificed cards are (and the higher experience level), the more they will be worth to the card being mentored.

Don’t bother going back and playing against teams you have already beaten in season mode. Simply play against the team that you are currently trying to beat, because you get the same rewards, and the same chances of getting silver ball drops and golden ball drops, as you get in the old matches that you can easily beat.

However, if you know football, go ahead and play against the crappier teams in your division first, because they are the ones that will have the worst players and will be much easier for you to defeat. The better the team was in real life in 2012, the better they will be in the game, although the team that’s the division boss is always going to be the toughest one to beat.

When choosing who to play against in the versus mode, use their captain cards to help you figure out who to play against. Don’t play against anybody who has a captain card of stage 5 or above. Some of the best ones to play against are the ones who set someone as a captain who is lower than a stage 4. If they have two captains of under stage 4, even better.
