Guide to Pocket Planes for iPhone and Android: Tips, tricks, cheats, hints and strategies

Pocket Planes is another big hit game in the making from Nimblebit, the company that brought us the smash hit Tiny Tower, also for the iPhone and the Android platforms. In Pocket Planes, your goal is to “take over the world, but in a non-threatening way”, expanding your network of airports gradually, from cross-country to cross-continent to cross-nation, in an effort to expand your reach worldwide. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pocket Planes!

When you are buying new airports to expand your reach, it doesn’t matter how many people those cities have – your airport will still have an abundant amount of people and cargo to transport, generally, so your pick of cities should be based on how much money you can save by buying that airport. Only later on in the game, when you unlock bigger aircraft with more cargo capacity and people capacity, will the size of the city matter, because then you’ll have more people and cargo to transport simultaneously, a need that can sometimes not be met by smaller cities.

To speed up the time it takes to complete a flight (or all of your flights), go to the phone’s settings, and then go to the date and time screen. Then, set the time ahead by however long it takes to complete your longest flight. After you set the time ahead, go back to the game, and all of your flights will instantly complete, and you will earn the money, experience and any other prizes that you would have gotten from completing flights.

If you have a part to an airplane but you can’t get the other parts to build it yet, and each airport that you unlock keeps coming up dry for parts related to that plane, look in the store menu under the parts section to see if the related parts are there. Duplicate parts are highlighted green in the store, so you can fairly easily weed those out.
