Every single time that you gain a level, go to the units tab and look for new units to buy, because almost every level that you gain allows you to unlock a new, more powerful unit. War mode matches you up against only people of your level, as well, so buying more powerful units will allow you to win even against those who have been at the same level for longer than you have.
When you see someone in War mode whose name is a 6 letter/number combination, usually, they put their alliance code as a username, so remember their gibberish combination, go to the alliance tab, and invite that person by their alliance code. Right now, there is no adding people by their username (none of them work), although that’s something that is likely to be fixed on the next update, so this is your number one way to supersize your alliance.
If you can completely finish one single round of quests, you’ll earn a big bonus in both coins and exploits for completing it, plus an extra hero’s weapon as a bonus. After you do one Chapter of quests, you can then go back to the same Chapter of quests and do them over again, up to three times per quest, allowing you to earn even more big bonuses. And the best part is, you don’t have to buy more units than you had already purchased for the purpose of completing the quest.
When battling, if you beat someone and loot a LOT of gold and food from them, attack them again and again to keep getting huge gold and food rewards. However, if you don’t earn that much, move onto someone else, because attacking the same person who didn’t give you too much gold and food will cause you to keep earning small amounts of both when you beat them.
