Guns of Glory, by Funplus, is an iOS and Android APK MMORTS that is geared far more towards the attack and offense than the passive defense. So to get a good start off on maximizing your gold, wood, food, iron, and silver (and spending less- to no real-life money to boot), follow the missions and the quests for a quick ticket to powering up your base’s defense and resource-earning. Collect your rewards, but as you get further into the game, branch off and build up the base on your own, saving the reward collection until you need the resources for another building, research, or troop-training project. If the rewards aren’t collected, other players can’t steal them.
Training troops and unlocking new troops is paramount in this game. You start off with the barracks, the shooting range, stables, and trap factory, while you’ll later unlock the forge and artillery foundry for more training and more new troops. Upgrade all of these buildings and keep the training going at as high of a level as possible, filling your kingdom with as many troops as you can, because battling is a numbers game above all.
Your main character will be inside of the airship, so upgrading your airship dock and enhancing your airship will also be very important to your battle strategy. You’ll be able to add assault abilities and guardian abilities, and by collecting intensity gear in battles, you’ll be able to upgrade individual abilities as well as unlock new ones. Choose wisely because it costs money to reset abilities. When changing classes, hostile and militant classes are recommended if you choose not to stick to balanced.
Make sure to play Guns of Glory on your PC or Mac and to link up with the desktop version to the same account that you use on mobile. This will allow you to upgrade more frequently, play the game when you don’t have your phone handy, or even allow you to play with a different account on the same server in order to join the same alliance twice.
Even if you have a lot of resource-gathering buildings (and you should always maximize them to whatever level you can for maximum offline gains), attacking will earn you a higher amount in general. If you don’t want to attack other players or you can’t because you’re in a brand new server, you can spend a whole lot of time going after computer-controlled battles (hunts), such as infected peasants and raging bulls, or using your troops to occupy outside territories such as farms that will produce more resources for you.
Your troops are in danger whenever you’re attacked while offline, so if you want to save them, you can send them out to occupy an empty tile, then use your troop-training buildings to build more of them up. Recall them as needed (I.E. when you have a sufficient amount to repel most attacks to your base), and send them out to attack powerful players or hunts when they have the numbers and the power to do so.
Join an alliance as soon as you can, even early on in the game, because your alliance members can help you finish projects faster (as long as you help them finish faster too). Plus you’ll earn free gold immediately for doing so. As you level up and get deeper into the game, you and your alliance teammates will be able to read resources and help each other out in battle.
