Helix (Ketchapp) – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats, and Strategies

Helix is a new game by Ketchapp for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal in this game is to jump over racing balls, gaps, and other obstacles to go for the highest score down the helix-shaped ramp as possible. You can earn coins, unlock new objects to race down the helix with, and compare your top score with the top scores of other players. Read on for some tips and tricks for Helix by Ketchapp!

Each obstacle will require a different timing to jump over, and some obstacles will be more forgiving of mistakes than others. The yellow lines contain springboards and are easy to jump over, but the spikes in the road are much more difficult to time correctly, so you have to time the jump perfectly in order to clear the spike. A racing ball going in the opposite direction will mess things up real quickly, especially when combined with another immediate obstacle.

If you want to earn a lot of coins, the best way to do so is to die quickly, then wait for the video icon to pop up on the menu screen afterwards. It will appear once out of every four times or so that you die, and it will only appear if you have an internet connection on the device that you’re currently using. Each video will give you 20 coins, so watch videos and they will continue to add up over time.

When you earn 100 coins, you will be able to go and buy a new character. All of the characters perform the same way; the gameplay doesn’t change, but they’re great for collection purposes. There are plenty of characters that can be had without having to spend any money, as well. Just tap the corresponding button next to them (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and then go back to the game and they will be unlocked.

If you want to compare yourself against the top players in the world, hit the high score screen. Scroll down past any of the unrealistic hacked scores that you see, down to the scores that are high but realistic, and those will be the benchmark. iOS players will only see iOS scores, and Android players will only see Android scores.

Despite being a low-resource app, this game experiences a lot of occasional lag, which can often ruin your run if it hits during a game. Make sure to close out all other apps that you can if you are experiencing this lag. Once you do that, go back to Helix and try it again. If that still is not helping, then close out Helix itself, and then reopen it and try playing it again.
