Heroes of Frontier (RPG) – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Heroes of Frontier is a new RPG for the iPhone and iPad. There are collection elements to the game, much like the card battlers that permeate the platform, but this is much more traditional RPG fare, with turn based battles, special attacks, and elemental strategy that can make the difference between victories and losses. Read on for some tips and tricks for Heroes of Frontier!

In addition to the main units that you can use in battle, you can also use monsters that you capture after each battle; however, they are gone after one battle. Keep them in your battle party, and the experience that they would have earned will transfer over to your bonus EXP, allowing you to focus training on one specific party member if you choose. Sell them, and they will earn you extra gold.

That extra gold can then be put to use upgrading your party members’ equipment. This will increase either their attack and defense, or their magic attack and magic defense, depending on what type of party member they are (magic members increase attack and defense, melee and ranged members will get increases in attack and defense).

Use elementals to your advantage, too. Blue beats red, red beats yellow, and yellow beats blue. Keep a good mix of party members, especially magic party members (since melee and ranged attacks tend to not be influenced by elements). Keep mages of all colors around for this purpose.

When picking a helper, pick the highest level character possible, then make sure to swap them in at the beginning of the fight. They will be especially useful if their special attack hits all enemies at once. This can allow you to beat half of the battles in the stage in one hit. Load up on special attack crystals for your helper by adding two other party members of the same element before the battle.

Spend your reputation points and your magic crystals to summon more characters. Five magic crystals will earn you one rare summon, so save them and don’t spend them on anything else in the game, because nothing will be as worthwhile as earning a super rare unit for your army.
