Every single building that you place in your town can be upgraded by tapping on it and hitting the “upgrade” button, provided you have enough gold or elixir to make the upgrade happen. When you upgrade your defensive buildings, they do more damage to attackers. When you upgrade your resource collectors and resource storage buildings, you will earn gold and elixir faster, and be able to store more of it. When you upgrade your barracks and army camps, you will be able to store more units and to train more, different kinds of units. The only building that can’t be upgraded is the builder’s house, but you can buy more of those with Gems. Upgrading the town hall increases the maximum amount of each building that you can place in your town, as well as the maximum level that you can upgrade everything to.
See all of those rocks, trees and other natural things that are just sitting around your town, taking up space? Tap those and you can eliminate them if you have enough gold. As a general rule, the larger something is, the more gold it will cost to eliminate, and eliminating them will earn you experience points. Randomly, you’ll also find diamonds after the object is finished being eliminated.
Now that you know how to build your town, the real fun begins: attack mode. Hit the “attack” button on the left side of the screen and you’ll be taken to a new menu. On the right side will be the map of the goblin layers, which you can invade in a sort of “quest” mode, and a star counter. There are fifty stages total, and you can earn three stars per stage. Stars are based off of the amount of total buildings that you destroy, and the amount of total damage that you do. To get three stars, you have to score 100% on the base, which means destroying everything on the base except for the walls.
