Welcome to the beginner’s guide to Ghostbusters for the iPhone, iPad and other iOS devices! This new game by Beeline Interactive is a revival of the popular Ghostbusters franchise, and thankfully it majorly does good by the originals, providing an excellent RPG-style gameplay experience using the original ghosts and ghostbusting gameplay that strikes similarities to the original games. Read on for the beginner’s guide to the new Ghostbusters iOS app!
When you begin the game, the tutorial will teach you how to bust the ghosts. You begin the game with three team members, busting one ghost at a time; however, as the game goes on the ghost battles will get progressively tougher to beat. The way to fight the battles is to do the following: tap on one of your characters and then drag your finger over to one of the ghosts. The character will begin zapping one of the ghosts with his or her gun. If you tap a character and then drag your finger over to a blank space, your character will move over to that blank space.
One of the three characters that you start off with will be a scientist, which means that they will be able to heal people. The way to do this is to drag your finger from the scientist to one of the other two characters, and they will begin healing them. This is an important skill because each of the ghosts that you face will drain hit points from your characters with each attack that they do.
Your hit points will be recovered after each round that you play, but if you lose all of your hit points during a round, your character will get slimed. If your character is slimed, he or she won’t gain any experience after the ghost battle, but if your character didn’t get slimed, they will gain experience, and if they perform enough ghost busts, they will gain an experience level, increasing their attack and their defense.
