Welcome to the beginner’s guide to Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North! This sequel to the original Facebook game Kingdoms of Camelot is one BIG, complicated and tough game, especially once you are starting out, but using this guide, you will be well on your way in no time at all!
As you first start off, you will begin with nothing but an empty castle, an empty town and a whole bunch of resources. Your resources consist of Food, Wood, Stone, Ore and Gold. Your first goal, before you can even get into the meat of the game, is to build up your stores of all of these resources.
There are three views of the game, which can be toggled in the icon in the lower left corner. We’ll call them the Castle View, Town View and World View. In the Town View, you can build Farms, Sawmills, Quarries and Mines, which earn you a certain amount of (in order) Food, Wood, Stones and Ore per hour. Tap on each one of them to upgrade them, and you will increase the amount that they earn you per hour. There’s no collecting necessary – they earn them for you automatically.
To earn more gold, you need to increase your population, and/or increase taxes on your population. To increase the population, go to your Castle View and either build a cottage in one of the empty spaces, or upgrade one of your existing cottages. To raise taxes, click on your main castle in Castle View, and go to Overview. Once there, raise the taxes and hit “Change Tax Rate.”
At any time, you can go to the castle, tap the “overview” tab amd you will be able to see exactly how much food, wood, stone, ore and gold you are producing every hour, as well as how much of it is going to the upkeep of your kingdom and to feeding your people and your troops.
