Idle Tap Racing is a new tycoon game for the iOS and Android platforms centered around a fictional stock car track, complete with race cars and concessions of various kinds. You don’t race in this game; instead, you simply upgrade your cars and your track, earn as much money as possible, and even unlock new tracks while watching your racers go.
Your goal is to earn as much money as possible, gain player levels so that you can unlock all sorts of new goodies, and then use your cash to upgrade your track even more.
Read on for some tips and tricks for Idle Tap Racing!
Your three main upgrades are to your winnings, your speed, and your cars. Winnings increases the amount of money earned per car that crosses the finish line. Speed, of course, increases how fast each one of your cars drives. Cars increases the number of cars on the track at any given time.
Tap anywhere on the track to double the speed of the cars. When you tap, they’ll zoom ahead for about one second, so if you tap one time per second or more, then you’ll be able to keep the cars’ speed doubled indefinitely. There is no need to tap incessantly or or super fast; just tap once per second or slightly less.
Offline income is the fastest way to earn money in this game by far, especially with an internet connection. Shut the game off and let it sit for awhile, then open it back up and take the 3x cash bonus in exchange for watching one advertisement video. Make sure that you have an internet connection so that the video can play once you tap on the ad offer.
Using this, you can perpetually earn money 3x faster. When you can’t afford an upgrade for awhile, all that you have to do is shut the game off, turn it on after half an hour or so, then triple your income. You’ll get much quicker upgrades this way.
At levels 5, 10, 15, and 20, you can upgrade various areas of your track, such as the grandstand, hospitality, pit stop, and the track itself. These upgrades are purely cosmetic. They won’t do anything for your income, so if you want a prettier track, upgrade them, but if you don’t care, then just leave them alone.
Also, at level 30, you’ll be able to swap out your road surface entirely by purchasing a dirt track. This starts over right from the beginning, and replaces all of the cars with trucks. You can swap back and forth between Oval and Dirt and pick up right from where you left off in either one. Weirdly though, you can’t collect offline income from the inactive one.
Aside from the triple offline income boost, you can use ad videos to pick up a number of other, more minor boosts. Such boosts include doubling your overall income for five minutes, or tripling the income whenever you gain a level. You can also double the speed at which you gain experience levels.
