iMech Online Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

iMech Online is a new multiplayer mech shooting game for the iPhone and iPad. This is the follow up to iMech, which was released a VERY long time ago (2009 to be exact) for the iPhone, and in iMech Online, the goal is simple. You and other mechs participate in a deathmatch style tournament, and try to blow each other up as many times as possible. The person who blows up the most mechs gets the most experience and coins, and increases their rank in the game. Read on for some tips and tricks for iMech Online!

It is very easy to get killed off in this game if you are not moving around enough. Keep moving and strafing from side to side, moving backwards, and adjusting your aim as needed in order to keep shooting at whoever you’re attacking at the time.

An even easier way to rack up kills and assists, though, is to use your radar to figure out where other mechs are currently engaged in fighting with each other. Look for a cluster of red dots that’s right next to each other to figure that one out. Then, approach the group of mechs with your guns off so they don’t see you easily. Then take out the machine gun or the flamethrower and start annihilating them.

Some of the buildings aren’t entirely solid, but are made of metal beams arranged in a checkerboard fashion. These buildings can be shot through. Get a mech (or more than one mech) in your sight, hide behind one of these buildings, and start shooting at them. You should be able to see them even through the building; if you can’t, then use the radar to shoot or jump out from behind the building real quick to get their location in your sights, and then hide and shoot again.

The easiest weapon to get kills with is the machine gun, because it has distance, but it has power and firing frequency too, so that it’s more effective than the plasma gun. The flamethrower will kill VERY quickly, but you have to be in such close range to do it that it’s often not worth it. Use the flamethrower if you sneak up on a mech or a group of mechs, and when they return fire, back off and switch to machine guns.
