As you go through the solo dungeons, they will get tougher and tougher until your main character ends up getting killed as you play through. Upgrade your main character by going to the Magic Tower and upgrading everything that you can. Upgrade the Magic Tower itself first in order to unlock more and more slots to upgrade.
Then, start upgrading the massive amount of slots that you unlock. Buy the time your Magic Tower hits level 11, you’ll have unlocked almost everything. Every Unit upgrade that you unlock will improve the stats of your actual units, while every Hero upgrade will strengthen your hero and stop them from getting killed so easily. Of course, upgrade “Hero Troop” to allow your hero to carry more troops with them.
Upgrade your City Hall to unlock the ability to upgrade your Barracks, and upgrade your Barracks to unlock the ability to continually upgrade your units. The more upgrades you put upon them, the more powerful they will be in battle, and the tougher it will be for them to be killed in battle. Pick one unit (at least), since you are limited in how many different units you can have in battle, put in as many as you can, and upgrade them as hgih as you can in order to be as impenetrable as possible.
Complete quests in order to earn more gold, experience, bonuses and the whole nine yards. Even if you try to play the solo dungeon and get the popup that says that you have nothing left to play that day, play anyways, because beating the latest dungeon will allow you to comoplete all kinds of quests, and earn a large quantity of rewards.
Load up on as many of the same troop as possible. Your quantity of troops will act as your “hit points” for your troops in battle, so the more of them that you have, the more hits that you can take.
