Some may have knocked the game for the fact that it can essentially play itself when you’re in botting/auto-play mode; however, this has its uses. Regardless of its uses, jump out of auto-mode every once in awhile so that you can get a handle on your character and his or her moves, and how they work. The sooner you get the hang of the special moves and the standard attacks, the better.
When your character is completing quests on their own, you can act as a player-manager, of sorts. While your character is running around, fighting, or doing whatever else to complete a quest, go through your menus, claim all of the necessary rewards (anything with a red dot attached to it), and manage your equipment.
The easiest way to change your equipment is simply to hit the auto-equip button. Before you do that, though, open every chest that you can. When you open a good box from your item menu, sometimes you’ll have to choose what equipment you get. Pick equipment based on what your weak points are and based on what elements of weapon you need, as the element can add a bit of a more advanced strategy.
Upgrade your equipment one at a time in many different ways. You can level it up, upgrade it, combine it, enhance it, enhance specific attributes, modify the subsets, or execute a limit break. With all of these options, pick the rarest equipment with the best base stats and use that as your base for modification, or simply pick what you like best.
The tutorial takes an insanely long time. Skip past the entire tutorial to unlock everything a lot faster if you are already familiar with how MMORPGs in general work. Also, tap on the target icon in the upper left corner of the screen to change how you act toward other players. You can be a complete pacifist, a serial killer, or anything in between.
