Lionheart Tactics – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Lionheart Tactics is a new tactical RPG for the iOS by Kongregate. The gameplay is very much like an updated, 3D version of Shining Force or Fire Emblem, but this game, despite its console-esque gameplay, is free to play and features a nearly limitless amount of characters. Read on for some tips and tricks for Lionheart Tactics!

Being that this game, unlike the vast majority of iOS RPGs, actually allows you to control every single little bit of action, there is quite a bit of strategy that you can use in this game. Your characters with the highest defense and health are typically the ones who can move the least amount of squares, but they are the ones who should be out in front. Move your other characters at a similar pace to the slow tanks, so that they can benefit from the tanks’ protection.

Focus all of your characters’ attacks on one enemy character at a time. Knock them off one at a time and you’ll take a whole lot less damage this way, due to less overall attacks being dished out by enemy characters.

Don’t waste coins and crowns by making bad purchases or purchases that can’t be used yet. Save your coins first for the rarest heroes (and rare heroes are actually fairly easy to come across, considering novice heroes cost 6,000 coins. Or, for a possible better coin savings, buy a bunch of rookie stones to promote your rookies. Then, buy novice stones to promote novices. Then, buy the equipment that’s associated with the levels of the character you want to equip (in order from rookie, novie, elite to master, and above).

Stuck on a stage and you go anywhere else? Go to the arena and play to your heart’s content. You will gain a massive amount of coins and experience points by playing in the arena frequently, as well as have the opportunity to advance into new ranks and earn large rewards.

Make sure to train your heroes, as well. Train any of their skills that you can, both to increase your statistics and the power of your special skills and your limit breaks. This should be the first place to turn if you are stuck on a tough battle, as this doesn’t cost any coins or crowns to do.
