MapleStory Live iPhone Game Guide, part 2: More tips, tricks, hints, cheats and strategies

Welcome to part 2 of the MapleStory Live game guide. Click here to go back to part 1 of the MapleStory Live tips and tricks guide.

When your character gets defeated at any point in the game, normally, you will lose 25 percent of your experience points that have been accrued towards your next level, and 30 percent of your Mesos, which can be a LOT of money lost later on in the game when you have built up a big stash. However, after you lose, instead of starting over, double tap the menu button on your iPhone, and then use the “active apps” toolbar at the bottom of the screen to close out your MapleStory Live app. Now, reopen MapleStory Live and go back to the same saved game, and when you go back to it, you will be back in the nearest town, but with the exp and Mesos that you had during your last save. So make sure to save when you are low on hit points, just in case.

By pressing the top right button on the main in game screen (the one that looks like the silhouette of a cartoon person), you can not only view your current stats but edit which ones will receive the most gains every time that you gain experience levels. You should change the configuration so that stats other than defense get improved, or else it will grow extremely high at the expense of all of your other stats. Defense is easy to improve, anyways, because there are so many different types of armor. Higher attack power, especially, will enable you to rip through quests easier and level up more quickly.

To put the game on autopilot mode, and automate all of the platforming elements, first, click on the icon in the top right corner. Then, click on the gear icon in the bottom bar of that menu (this is options). Then, under “Controls”, tap on the third button, the one that looks like a finger touching a diagonal red line with crosshairs. Enabling this will enable to go anywhere by simply tapping where you want to go, and watching your character go there. Also, if you tap an enemy, your character will attack the enemy over and over until they’re dead – no need to mash the attack button anymore.
